If you have multiple storybooks in your inventory only the first will be updated.

Are we talking about identifying items that are not marked as "unidentified"? What benefit does this bring? I know it makes the item's value visible. But is there any point to doing this? I tend to only identify items that are actually marked with the unidentified property. Should I be spamming identification kits on *everything* first before merchanting? (Even things that I already know the value for)? |

It means non-unidentified items with white text that have no magical properties whatsoever. Identifying them increases their price. You can see it for yourself. Get a white, check how much the merchant will pay for it, then id it and see the price increase. Usually you need to have drops from level 20+ foes for the increase to be worth the cost of the id though (though opinions on this differ).

There has been a simple guide to earning money in GW on the unofficial wiki for a long time and whenever I am asked the question by anyone in my alliance i direct them to this following page.

I have to disagree with all of you on one thing. Id and salvage kits.
I tend to remake toons alot so i get quick and easy id and salvage kits for FREE. Call me greedy, frugal, jew(please no derogatory words |: ) free is better than 100 gold. (expert salv. kit if you start in NF) if you plan on farming and zoning a lot (vattiers) get merch summoners when you fill up. long farms is the only time i suggest buying large id kits. save money. one thing ive learned from the rw is you need to "live well below your means and invest" if you want to be super rich. |
